tiny oceans run deep

The Brooke (a tiny ocean)Wobbly Boat (Demo 1)

I am dog sitting and because of that I have High speed intrnet. For the last hour or so I have been listening to all of Brooke's songs.

Its funny because Brooke has visited my blog and I have visited hers but I only heard one song of hers (It was good.) but I had no idea how awesome she is! I am kind of weird in that I don't listen to music that much. I really like silence. I think I access alternate states a lot through silent meditation. I find that in our culture there seems to be always some type of "background music." I generally block it all out. But when I get into music I really get into it. I like to give it my full attention and play various songs over and over again and really take them in. I do this with my Jimmy Hendrix and my Johny Cash albums and also Stevie Nicks. Often in darkness. But then I can go weeks at a time without listening to music.

But anyway, we have pretty similar taste it seems. I really love this song, plus "little Red Riding Hood." and the cover she did for Fleetwood mac's "landslide" almost made me cry.

She looks very dark and mysterious in the video's kind of like cross between a young Winnona Ryder and that chick from Juno. I used to have a really big crush on Winnona...

Well anyway, Brooke are you out there?

I think I figured out what it is with me and music....If its really good, like this is, I get spiritually transported to another place. It's very powerful. If its not good, its really distracting and over stimulating for me so I block it out.

This is powerful stuff. I have good taste too. If I think somthing is good, it really is good and I never throw away compliments, either.

...I keep listening to more and posting more here...Man, how can you keep covering these songs and doing them better then the original artists? Its so beautiful its painful.

Ok, no point in adding any more.
